Nilan user app

Introduction

The following instructions are general and apply to all Nilan ventilation units. Thus, some of the functions and settings shown may not exist on your ventilation unit. The user settings that apply exactly to your ventilation unit more or less correspond to the settings displayed in the Nilan User APP on your phone.

Explanation of main screen elements

  1. On the main screen under the Nilan logo, you will see the number of the connected Gateway. Under settings, you can give the ventilation unit a name, e.g. Home or Holiday home. The name will then be displayed. If you have several ventilation units connected to the APP, you can see which unit the displayed data applies to. Next to the number is a WiFi icon that is green when the unit is connected, and red when the connection is interrupted.
  2. Here you will see the items relevant to your ventilation device. If there are too many items to fit on the screen at the same time, the remaining items are listed below the displayed items. You can reach them by scrolling your finger upwards. If you press briefly on one of the items on the screen, a settings menu appears.

  4. Pressing this icon will display a list of all current and relevant

  6. Pressing this icon will take you to the settings where you can add more ventilation units.
  7. The alarm icon is displayed when an alarm goes off on the device. Pressing the icon will give you an overview of the most recent alarms. If multiple ventilation units are connected to the same APP, you need to go to settings and select the unit to see to which unit the alarm applies.

Temperature

  1. Press "back" to return to the previous page.
  2. You can set the room temperature by moving your finger up or down on the icon. When the ventilation unit is operating in heating mode, the thermometer is red. In cooling mode, it is blue and in neutral mode it is orange.
  3. The heating settings icon may be displayed if you have installed a reheating element. Press this icon to access the heating settings.
  4. Here you can see the current room temperature.

  6. The cooling icon appears when the unit has active cooling via a heat pump. Press this icon to access cooling settings.
  7. If you scroll up with your finger, a menu appears where you can choose from the AUTO, HEAT and COOL options.

Ventilation

  1. Press "back" to return to the previous page.
  2. Here you can set the desired fan speed. The fan speed you select may differ from the one displayed on the main screen. This is because the device may override the set fan speed level, for example when humidity is high/low.

Domestic hot water

  1. Press "back" to return to the previous page.
  2. If you scroll down with your finger, you can read the current hot water temperature.
  3. You can set the domestic hot water by moving your finger up or down on the icon. Below the thermometer, it shows when the appliance produces hot water. The colour in the thermometer changes in accordance with the temperature. A temperature >40°C is red, 30-40°C is orange, and <30°C is blue. Then you can see if there is enough hot water for a bath.

  2. Press this icon to access more settings.
  3. Press here to deactivate hot water production. You can reactivate hot water production by scrolling your finger upwards on the thermometer and selecting the desired water temperature.

The settings icon (5) gives you access to settings related to additional electric heating and anti-legionella measures.

  1. Press "back" to return to the previous page.
  2. Here you can choose at what temperature the additional electric heater should be activated to help heat the domestic hot water.
  3. Here you can switch off the additional electric heating.
  4. Here you can disable the anti-legionella treatment. You can also set a specific day in the week for anti-legionella treatment.

Humidity

  1. Press "back" to return to the previous page.
  2. Here you can set the value for low humidity between 15 and 45%.
  3. Here you can set the fan speed for low humidity between level 1 - 3. You can also deactivate the function.
  4. Here you can set the fan speed for high humidity between level 2 - 4. You can also deactivate the function.
  5. Here you can set the maximum time at high humidity.
  6. Press this icon to access more settings.

  2. Here you can set the temperature to avoid low outdoor temperatures between -20 - +10°.

CO2 settings

  1. Press "back" to return to the previous page.
  2. Here you can set the value for normal CO2 level set between 400 - 700.
  3. Here you can set the value for high CO2 level set between 650 - 2500.
  4. Here you can set the fan speed between level 2 - 4. You can also deactivate the function.

Filter replacement

  1. Press "back" to return to the previous page.
  2. Here you can set the number of days between filter changes.
  3. Here you can reset the filter replacement alarm.
  4. Here you can switch off the ventilation unit before changing the filter and then switch it on again.
ATTENTION_YELLOW

Remember never to leave the appliance off for long periods of time, as condensation may form inside the appliance and duct system and subsequently cause damage.

Show data

You can read the current operating data of the ventilation unit. This allows you to check the proper operation of the unit and identify the cause of any alarms.

Trend curve

It is possible to see a Trend curve for different parameters - depending on which ventilation device you have.
