Emergency mode

Hot water for emergencies

If a fault occurs in the control system or in the components of the Compact P2, and the appliance stops as a result, it cannot produce domestic hot water.

If the installer cannot come right away or the malfunction occurs outside opening hours and so you cannot contact the installer, there is a possibility to get hot water by putting the appliance in emergency mode.

The emergency mode button is located behind the large door.

Emergency mode has three settings:

I - Auto: Additional electric heating is controlled by the appliance control system (default setting)

0 - Off: The supplementary electric heater is switched off and cannot be switched on via the appliance control system.

II - Manuel: The supplementary electric heater is switched on and cannot be switched off via the unit control system (do not switch on if there is no water in the tank).

ATTENTION_RED

In manual emergency mode, the water temperature can reach 75 °C, which can cause scalding, if you are not careful when switching on the hot water.

Central heating in emergency mode

If a fault occurs in the control system or components of the GEO heat pump, and the heat pump stops as a result, the house cannot be heated by the central heating system.

If the installer cannot come right away or the malfunction occurs outside opening hours, and therefore you cannot contact the installer, there is the option of heating the house by putting the GEO heat pump into emergency mode.

The emergency mode button is located behind the large door.

Emergency mode has three settings:

I - Auto: Additional electric heating and the ciculation pump are controlled by the appliance control system (default setting)

0 - Off: The supplementary electric heater is switched off and cannot be switched on via the appliance control system.

II - Manuel: The supplementary electric heater and ciculation pump are switched on and cannot be switched off via the unit control system.

ATTENTION_RED

In manual emergency mode, the supply temperature can reach 40 °C.

Domestic hot water

Errors and solutions household hot water

Problem Possible cause Solution
The appliance does not produce enough domestic hot water. The filters may be clogged so that too little air enters the unit. This can happen if the filters are not changed often.
This can happen if the unit has been in operation during the construction process and the filters are full of dust and dirt.
Change the filters and, if necessary, set the filter replacement period to a shorter interval.

Central heating

Errors and solutions central heating

Problem Possible cause Solution
The thermostats call for heat, but the heat pump does not start. During the spring and autumn transition period, some room heaters may call for heat but the heat pump will not start.

This may be because the temperature in the return air is warm enough compared to the temperature set in the control panel. That is, the return air is an average of the room temperature in the room, as some rooms are hot and others are cold.

Because the ventilation section considers the average temperature in the house high enough, it blocks the operation of the heat pump. It does this to save energy and to prevent the ventilation part and the heat pump part from working against each other.
If you still want to heat some rooms even though the average temperature in the house is warm enough, you can activate this function below: Settings / Central heating in the menu: Cooling and heating at the same time.

This means that the cooperation between the ventilation part and the heat pump part stops, and if there is a need for heat in certain rooms, the heat pump will start even if the ventilation part detects that the house is warm enough.
