Nilan user app

First, download the 'Nilan User App' on your smartphone

Wi-Fi Gateway setup and app configuration.

Keep the following details of your home network handy:

  • Wi-Fi network name (SSID)
  • Password of your Wi-Fi network

Pair the Nilan Wifi Gateway with your router (home network)

Keep the following details of your Nilan Heat Pump handy:

  1. On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and find the network "1141_Gateway". This is the network signal from the Nilan Wi-Fi Gateway.
  2. Then select this network. When asked for a password, enter the following password: 1141_Gateway
  3. When your smartphone is connected to the 1141_Gateway Wi-Fi signal, you then open the Nilan User App.
  4. Agree to the End-User License Agreement by scrolling down and pressing 'Accept'.
  • ID number of the Wi-Fi gateway
  • This ID number can be found on top of the Wi-Fi gateway or you have received it from your installer

Configure the Nilan Wi-Fi gateway

  • Select 'Configure WiFi Gateway'
  • You will then enter the "Wi-Fi Settings" window
  • The app will automatically start searching for the Wi-Fi Gateway. You will see the ID number appear at the top when the Wi-Fi Gateway is found.
  • If the gateway is not found (No device found) you must first check whether your smartphone is still connected to the '1141_Gateway' Wi-Fi network. In this case, retake the previous steps.

Connecting between the Nilan Wi-Fi Gateway and your own Wi-Fi network

  • In the "Wi-Fi Settings" window, enter the details of your own Wi-Fi Network at the bottom:
    • SSID = the name of your Wi-Fi network
    • Password = the password of your Wi-Fi network

Then select 'Save' and wait for the message 'Wi-Fi settings saved'. Press 'Ok'.

The Nilan Wifi Gateway will then reboot. This may take several minutes.

Go back to your Wi-Fi settings on your smartphone and connect to your own Wi-Fi network.

Then open the Nilan User App again. The ID number of the Wi-Fi Gateway is visible at the top.

Create an account in the Nilan User App

  • Press the ID number
  • The app will prompt you to create a User for the selected device.
  • Enter your e-mail address and press Ok.
  • Wait a while while the app creates the user.

When the app is done with this, a new Password will be displayed. Before clicking OK, it is best to make a note of it and keep it in a place you can remember later.
